British-Chilean Architect  has always been interested in exploring new design strategies, responsive architecture and pushing the limits of architecture in many ways.

Andres graduated with distinctions at Universidad Finis Terrae University, Santiago, where he soon started to teach as an assistant professor before emigrating to London after two years of work experience in Chile.

In September 2007 he pursued the MSc in Emergent Technologies + Design at the Architectural Association and during the course he participated in two built projects: Termas de Quitralco Shelter, and The EmTech Canopy at the AA.

During his AA year, he also collaborated in a research with Mike Weinstock for two publications and his MSc dissertation thesis was one of the top-10 finalists for the 2008 FEIDAD award.

After graduating from the AA and fulfilling his scholarship duties he joined Foster + Partners, London.

During his first year at the practice he was a member of the Atelier Foster+Nouvel,participating in a joint-venture with the French architect Jean Nouvel. At the same time he started as Media Studies tutor at the AA.

His work and collaborations have been published in Europe, Asia and the Americas and has given lectures on Generative and Biomimetic Design in Santiago de Chile and Buenos Aires; Argentina, in which he was a key speaker among other renown Latin American architects.

In June 2011 Andres Participated as Keynote speaker and Chairman at the Sustainable Intelligent Manufacturing conference in Leiria, Portugal.

Andres is currently working at Foster + Partners, London and has worked on residential, cultural, commercial and office buildings around the world , two of which have been completed and two others on site; and is still aiming to develop his skills and share his knowledge by lecturing in different places throughout the world and also teaching and participating as MArch Jury at the Architectural Association School of Architecture, London.

Andres recently participated as lecturer and workshop tutor at UrbaVerde event in Porto, Portugal (April 2012) in which he gave an introduction on Biomimetic Design and Parametric tools, and participated as a Chairman and Key Lecturer at InfoTech World Congress in Dalian, China, making this his first lecture in Asia.
